BRIGIDO DANAN
Brigido “Briggs” “Bidong” Sanchez Danan, age 85, of Lombard, formerly from the Lubao, Pampanga, Philippines, died January 4, 2023.
Brigido was the dear daddy to Arlene Danan Perfecto, Marie “Jenny” Danan, Amy Elizabeth (Arnel) Bulaon; dear Grandpa (Lolo) to Justine (Emmanuel) Santiago, Jenevi “Jen-Jen” Cudia, Alissa (Anthony) Diciolla, Adrianne Bulaon and Ahren Bulaon; dear brother of Gloria Maj, Olivia (the late John) Marek, Janet (Joseph) Velasco, and Joaquin Jr. (Eden) Danan and brother-in-law of Luisa Danan and dear uncle to many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents, Joaquin Sr. and Bibiana (née Sanchez) Danan; siblings Armando Danan, Ester Ongbueco, Romeo Danan, Bonafacio Danan, and Edgardo Danan.
Brigido immigrated to the U.S. in 1967, starting his career as a drafting design engineer with Boeing Co. in Seattle, Washington, and then California before settling in Chicago area in 1970.
Brigido was a sweet simple man who loved to dance. He was a well-dressed gentleman. He loved walking outdoors, watching movies, playing tennis and chess. He loved spending time with his family. He was a jokester with a great sense of humor.
Brigido will be greatly missed by his pets, Schmidt, Miso and Nimbus. He was predeceased by his loving pets Nena, Bruno, Spot and Myko.
Visitation will be private. Funeral Mass will be Thursday, January 12, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. at Christ the King Catholic Church, 1501 S. Main Street, Lombard. Inurnment will follow at Assumption Cemetery, Wheaton.

DAVID GOLDBERG
David Goldberg, of Villa Park, passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 3, at the age of 71. David was the loving husband of Lois née Borelli; beloved father of Jeremy (Kristyn) Haster and Jennifer (Lonnie) Christenbury; caring stepfather of Michael (Lacey) Wilson and Keith Wilson; adored grandfather of Chase, Caiden, Ava, Lily, Joslyn, Riley, Wyatt and Alyssa; cherished brother of Howard Goldberg. SHEREE HACKER
Sheree Saunders Hacker, age 67, longtime resident of Glen Ellyn, formerly La Grange, died suddenly on January 3, 2023.
Sheree was the dear mom of Brian (Carrie) Hacker of Lisle, Dan Hacker of Lombard, and Jodie (John) Brennock of Wheaton; adored grandma of Mason Hacker, Ray Hacker, Michael Brennock and Lily Brennock; and sister of Sandra (Joseph) Tilli and the late Suzanne Saunders.
Sheree was a graduate of Western Illinois University.
Sheree was an accomplished horsewoman; she has been riding since she was a kid. She went to the barn every day to care for her horses. She was also involved in the local equestrian community.
Sheree enjoyed fitness and gardening. She also was fond of her many dogs.
Sheree loved her grandkids dearly and enjoyed spending time with them.
A Memorial Gathering will be held on Saturday, January 14, 2023, from 2 p.m. until the time of the Memorial Service at 3 p.m. The Gathering will continue after the Memorial Service until 7 p.m.

Rita A. Mugg, age 87, of Lombard, died Jan. 6, 2023, at her home.
Visitation will be held Thursday, Jan. 12, from 3 to 8 p.m. at Brust Funeral Home, 135 S. Main Street, Lombard.
Funeral Service will be held Friday, Jan. 13, with prayers at 9:30 a.m. from Brust Funeral Home to Christ the King Church, Lombard, for 10 a.m. Mass.
