Michael was a graduate of Glenbard South and George Williams College. He loved living in Lombard and liked to get involved with the town. He was a member of the Lombard Jaycees. He was a longtime parishioner of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and volunteered at the Sacred Heart Germanfest for many years, often running the beer tent, greeting folks with a smile. He also volunteered at the Taste of Lombard for many years. You could find Michael around Lombard, always helping out in some way.
Michael loved to read. He worked as the bookstore manager at Glenbard East High School for 10+ years. He loved supporting athletic events at the High School, acting as announcer during sporting events and running the scoreboard. He spent his spare time rooting for the White Sox, Bears, Blackhawks and Las Vegas Golden Knights. Coaching his daughters in soccer brought him great joy as well. Rounding out his love of sports, he often spent time with his friends, partaking in a fantasy football league with them every year.
As big a sports fan as he was of his favored teams, he was the #1 fan of his family. He enjoyed spending time with them the most.
