District 205 extends deadline for survey returns; Some postcards delivered late

School District 205 issued a release last week stating that the date to return the strategic planning survey has been extended to April 24.

“While our district-wide strategic planning process is well underway, we are aware that there was an unfortunate delay in the delivery of the strategic planning survey postcards to many homes, some of them arriving well past the original deadline of April 1,” read a release issued by Tonya Daniels, executive director of communications and community relations for District 205. “While we received nearly 1,000 surveys, the most important part of this process is the work that is done in partnership with our community and staff.

“The feedback is extremely important in this process and because of that, we feel that it is important for us to re-open the survey to allow an opportunity for those of you who were unable to complete it to do so.”

The survey is live again and will remain open until Sunday, April 24.

“District 205 looks forward to receiving the additional feedback and appreciate the passion and desire from the community to be a part of this important process,” the statement concluded.

Stakeholders can complete the survey by visiting the District 205 website.
