Suspect sought in Chase Bank robbery on NYE

Police, FBI seek bank robbery suspect This is a photo obtained from the FBI who are assisting the Elmhurst Police Department in apprehending this black male, who took an undetermined amount of cash and fled on foot.

According to a release issued by the City of Elmhurst, police are investigating an armed bank robbery that occurred at Chase Bank at 163 No. York Rd. in Elmhurst on Friday, Dec. 31 at 3:15 p.m.

According to the release, a suspect entered the bank and displayed a blue steel semi-automatic handgun while demanding cash from a bank teller. The offender is described as a black male about 40 years of age, about 5-foot-eight with a medium build, wearing a gray and black puffy zip-front jacket gray light-wash jeans, a blue surgical mask, dark glasses and dark beanie cap.

The offender took an undetermined amount of cash and fled eastbound on foot, according to police. No injuries were reported.
