Gerald “Gerry” Ruschke, of Sandwich, Ill., passed away on Dec. 23, 2021 at the age of 74. He was born in Melrose Park, Illinois to the late Lawrence and the late Melvina nee Nelson Ruschke. Gerry was a manufacturing production supervisor, who owned two hobby shops. Gerry built six experimental airplanes and was an avid radio control and control line airplane modeler. He was the beloved husband of 40 years to Dorothy, loving father of Jeff (Cathy) and Doug (Jodi), and cherished brother of Lawrence and Ricky, grandfather of Sr. Mary Peter, Sarah (Joe), Rachael (Derrick), and Hannah, and great-grandfather of John.
