Montini Catholic High School’s girls volleyball team won the IHSA Class 2A state championship on Saturday, Nov. 13, at Redbird Arena in Normal. The Broncos defeated Pleasant Plains 25-16, 25-17 in the state final. Montini completed its season with 35 straight wins to post an overall record of 40-1. The Broncos are pictured moments after they won the final point of the championship match. This Is the Montini girls volleyball program’s first state championship.
