Members of Glenbard East High School’s marching band are pictured during the band’s halftime performance at the Aug. 27 varsity football game in Lombard. The Rams opened their season with that night’s 24-7 Upstate Eight Conference victory over Larkin. Glenbard East’s football team didn’t play a traditional fall season in 2020. The state’s high school football season was postponed because of the COVID-19 pandemic. The Rams and the state’s other high school football teams played an abbreviated regular season (six games instead of the usual nine) during the spring of 2021. There were no playoffs after the spring season.
