Elmhurst AAUW Used Book Sale returns

AAUW Used Book Sale returns July 8-11
Mikey and Henry Ehmann donate books to the AAUW Elmhurst Used Book Sale scheduled for July 8-11 at Sandburg Middle School. The organization needs gently-used books (hard and soft cover), CDs and DVDs. Proceeds support scholarships and other programs.

The AAUW (American Association of University Women) Elmhurst Area Branch is collecting books and media for its 2021 Used Book Sale from July 8 -11 at Sandburg Middle School, 345 E. St. Charles Road, Elmhurst, IL. The organization needs gently used books (hard and soft cover), CDs and DVDs. Cassette tapes, VHS videos, encyclopedias, or textbooks prior to the year 2000 are not accepted.

Proceeds from the sale benefit local AAUW scholarships and national AAUW programs, which advance equity for women and girls through research, education, and advocacy.

Collection locations for donations include:

From June 7-July 5

• Sandburg Middle School

• Courts Plus (186 S. West Avenue)

From June 18-July 5

• Elmhurst Public Library (125 S. Prospect) Place in bin in alcove near book drop off and pick up lane. This site is available after the parking lot renovation is completed.

On Monday through Saturdays June 7-July 15 books can be dropped off at Sandburg’s west entrance on St. Charles Road. Volunteers will be available to help unload books. Barrels will be available at other times.
