Breaking ground on the new library

Former and current Helen Plum Library Board trustees and Lombard Village President Keith Giagnorio participated in the groundbreaking ceremony held June 15 for the new library, located at 411 S. Main St. (former site of Mr. Z’s grocery store). Construction on the 50,000-square-foot library is slated to begin this summer, and be completed in the fall of 2022.
