Warriors win conference title

Willowbrook High School’s girls volleyball team completed an undefeated season in West Suburban Gold Conference play with their recent 26-24, 25-27, 25-18 victory over Hinsdale South in Villa Park. The Warriors finished their conference season with a 6-0 record. Hinsdale South ended the conference season with a 4-2 mark. Willowbrook head coach Irene Mason noted that this is the Warriors’ first conference title in girls volleyball in over 10 years. One day after beating Hinsdale South, Willowbrook completed its abbreviated spring season with a non-conference victory at Hinsdale Central. The Warriors opened the season with two straight losses, but proceeded to win their next 10 matches to close the season with an overall record of 10-2.
