Albert Bulthuis ended 14 years of service on the Villa Park Village Board at the May 10 board meeting. He was elected as a village trustee in 2007. He was re-elected as a trustee in 2011 and 2015. In 2017, he won a four-year term as village president. He did not run for re-election this year. The photo from the May 10 meeting shows Bulthuis (second from left) shortly before he departed from the board. Nick Cuzzone, Villa Park’s new village president, presented Bulthuis with a plaque after Bulthuis departed from the dais. Cuzzone also presented plaques to outgoing trustees Cheryl Tucker and Robert Wagner. Cuzzone defeated Wagner in the April 6 election to succeed Bulthuis as village president.
