Nicholas Denault (left), who is a Villa Park resident and a member of Boy Scout Troop 202 in Lombard, organized a recent diaper drive for the Outreach House. The six-week drive, which ended on Saturday, April 3, collected approximately 12,000 diapers. The Outreach House, which is located at 24 W. Ash St., Lombard, is a nonprofit organization that provides assistance to people in need in Lombard, Villa Park and the rest of York Township. Denault’s diaper drive, which was a Boy Scout service project, included three drop-offs at the Outreach House. The drive also collected diapers from bins Denault placed at the Villa Park Public Library and the Elmhurst Public Library. Denault, who is a freshman at Marmion Academy in Aurora, received some assistance from his fellow Troop 202 members, including Declan Miller (right), who attended the April 3 drop-off. Miller is a Villa Park resident and a sophomore at Willowbrook High School. The Outreach House distributed about 73,000 diapers throughout 2020.
