The five members of Lombard’s 2021 Lilac Court received their tiaras at the Maple Street Chapel on March 15. Pictured left to right are: Princess Katherine Pettinger, Princess Emmie Sathy, Princess Lauren Huber, Princess Kendall Crackel and Princess Bella Walli. The Lombard Junior Women’s Club (LJWC) presented a tiara to each princess, along with a sash and flowers from an area florist—The Flower Girl. The tiaras are provided each year by the Lombard Service League. The LJWC conducts the annual Lilac Princess Program, which dates back to 1930. Each of this year’s princesses had the opportunity to briefly wear the original Lilac Queen crown from 1930 during the tiara presentation event. One of the five princesses will be crowned as the 2021 Lilac Queen at the coronation ceremony in Lilacia Park on Saturday, May 1.
