The Lombard Junior Women’s Club (LJWC) selected the 2021 Lilac Court on Sunday, Feb. 28. Pictured left to right are: Princess Katherine Pettinger, Princess Emmie Sathy, Princess Lauren Huber, Princess Kendall Crackel and Princess Bella Walli. The LJWC held its annual Lilac Princess Program Preliminary Judging earlier on Feb. 28 at Sunset Knoll Recreation Center. Three unbiased judges who neither live nor work in Lombard selected this year’s court from a field of 17 contestants. Later on Feb. 28, the five princesses visited the LJWC’s clubhouse in Eastgate Shopping Center for their orientation. Each princess will receive a $1,000 scholarship. The scholarships are funded in part by the Village of Lombard Local Tourism Grant Program. One of the princesses will be crowned as the 2021 Lilac Queen during the coronation ceremony in Lilacia Park on Saturday, May 1. Crackel, Huber and Sathy are seniors at Glenbard East High School. Walli is a senior at Willowbrook High School. Pettinger, a 2019 Willowbrook graduate, is a sophomore at Elmhurst University. The princesses are pictured holding bouquets that were donated by an area floral design studio—the flower girl. For more information about the flower girl, visit or
