A portion of a rainbow was visible in Villa Park on Monday afternoon after a day of heavy rain. The photo shows an eastward view toward Ardmore Avenue near Highridge Road. According to the official rainfall totals at O’Hare International Airport, nearly 1.8 inches of rain fell on Monday. The airport received more than 3 inches of rain in the period from Saturday, Sept. 1, through Monday.
