Jewelry sale to benefit RRAF
A jewelry sale to benefit RRAF (Where Reality is Respect, Appreciation and Fulfillment) will be held Friday and Saturday, Aug. 10-11, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at 613 S. Main St., Lombard. Lombard Park District to ‘bounce back to school’
The Lombard Park District is inviting families as students get ready to wrap up summer and head back to school. Bounce Back to School is a free event on Aug. 11 from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. that will be held at the Lombard Common east of Paradise Bay Water Park. Children ages 3-12 will be able to enjoy a free morning of bounce houses, inflatable obstacle courses, refreshments, giveaways and entertainment.

Lombard Garden Club to meet Aug. 24

Lunch and Learn program
Villa Park Recreation is hosting a free Lunch and Learn informative presentation planned for older adults, their families and caregivers ages 18 and older. Arbor Day Foundation offering free trees
Everyone who joins the nonprofit Arbor Day Foundation with a $10 donation will receive 10 free Colorado blue spruce trees or 10 white flowering dogwood trees through the Foundation’s Trees for America campaign. New members of the Arbor Day Foundation will also receive “The Tree Book,” which includes information about tree planting and care, and a subscription to Arbor Day, the foundation’s bimonthly publication.
