Thursday, Aug. 23

From 6:30-8 p.m., the Elmhurst Art Museum will host a Zine Launch Party, presented by the Teen Art Council. Come out to celebrate the launch of the Teen Art Council’s inaugural project, ArchiTeenZine, a visual response to architecture created and designed by our teen group.

 

Monday, Aug. 27

From 5-7 p.m., the City is hosting an open house event at Elmhurst City Hall to demonstrate the use of the WaterSmart Portal and how residents can track their water usage. Free and open to the public. Info: elmhurst.org/watersmart.

 

Thursday, Aug. 30

  • From 6-8 p.m., Cool Cars Under the Stars will take place at the American Legion Post #187 at Spring & Butterfield Rd. $5 food specials. Theme: Groovy 70s, 80s & 90s.

Elmhurst Walk-In Assistance Network will host its annual ‘Cue for a Cause in the City parking lot at York and Vallette from 12 noon until 8 p.m. To register to compete or to learn more about EWAN, go to the website ewanet.org.

  • Widows or Widowers (WOW) meet every third Thursday at 6:30 p.m. at the Knights of Columbus Hall, 537 S. York Road.
