EDWARD J. GREBIN

Edward J. Grebin, a 48-year resident of Elmhurst, died recently.

Beloved husband of Mary nee Abarre for 49 years; loving father of Cheryl (Michael) Eisa, James (Tammy) and the late Jon; grandfather of Ava, Roman, Mic, Etainia, Jamison and Kinley; brother of Florence (Jack) Carr, Theresa (Leo) Bill and the late Lillian, Walter, Helen (Matt) and Dorothy; brother-in-law of Paul; uncle of many nieces and nephews.

Edward was a World War II Army Air Corps Veteran and charter member of the American Legion, Post 1028, Chicago.

Visitation will be held at Ahlgrim Funeral Home, 567 S. Spring Road, Elmhurst from 3-8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 29. Prayers at 10:15 a.m. Friday, Dec. 30, at the funeral home, going to Visitation Church. Mass at 10:45 a.m. Interment at Queen of Heaven Cemetery.

ANNE V. KANGLES

Anne V. Kangles, nee Velis, of Chicago and formerly of Winnetka, died recently. 

Beloved wife of the late Constantine “Gus” Kangles; mother of the late Nicholas A. Kangles; sister of Esther Velis and Joan “Jody” (Don) Alexander; aunt of Tom (Stacey) Alexander and Vanessa (Jim) Clohessy; great aunt of James and Joanna Clohessy; and cousin of and friend to many.

Visitation was held Tuesday at Annunciation Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 1017 N. LaSalle Blvd., Chicago, from 11:30 a.m. until time the time of the service at 12 noon. Interment at Elmwood Cemetery.

PETER MANIACI, 86 

Peter Maniaci, Jr., 86, longtime resident of Elmhurst, died recently.

Beloved husband of Joann nee Fideler for 58 years; loving father of Steven Maniaci, Lisa (Tom) Griess, Carolyn (Don) Cagle and Nancy (Dan) Stoettner; grandfather of Donald, Jessica, Ryan, Mary, Kay, Madeline and Audrey; dear son of the late Peter and Lena Maniaci; brother of the late Mary Ann Maniaci; cousin of Ettore Boggetto. 

A United States Marine Veteran, Peter served in the Korean War and was awarded a Purple Heart.

Visitation was held at Ahlgrim Funeral Home, 567 S. Spring Road, Elmhurst, from 9 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 28.

ROBERT PETER REITER, 89

Robert Peter Reiter, 89, of Villa Park, died recently.

Beloved husband for 63 years of Mary nee White. U. S. Naval Veteran. Loving father of Elizabeth (Peter) Foskaris ,Robert (Debbie),Timothy (Diane), Mary Ellen Reiter, Paul (Cheryl), Anne Reiter, Joseph, Charles (Candy), Richard and David (Becky).

Dear grandfather of Nicholas, Andrew and Peter Foskaris, Mary Reiter, Katelin and Wesley Reiter, Emily (George ) Stratton, Jillian Reiter, Morgan and Colleen Reiter, Mia and Drew Reiter. Fond brother of Florence (John ) Kimball and the late Jacqueline (Blaine ) Jones. Cherished son of the late Robert and Frances nee Berck. Robert and Mary were married on May 9, 1953.

Visitation was held Wednesday Dec. 28, at Steuerle Funeral Home 350 S. Ardmore Ave., Villa Park.
